Google Pay now lets you pay with a smartwatch in Belgium

Good news for Belgian owners of a smartwatch with Wear OS. Together with a number of countries, Belgians can now use their smartwatch to make mobile payments via Google Pay. All thanks to a new update.

Pay with Wear OS in Belgium

In the Netherlands we still cannot use Google Pay. The payment service has been available in Belgium for a long time. Peter informs DroidApp that a new update for his smartwatch with Wear OS ensures that payments can also be made with the smartwatch. This is now possible not only in Belgium, but also in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Croatia. It was therefore already possible to pay via Google Pay with the smartphone, but now also via the smartwatch.

Peter informs us that it is also possible to activate multiple bank cards. In the quick settings menu, as can be seen in the photo of his TicWatch Pro 3, the Pay icon can also be seen.
