Google Meet gets a great feature for international calls
Even after the strongest impact of the coronavirus pandemic on people’s work, study and leisure activities, developers of communication applications and services are still working on their improvement. As the saying goes, it’s not good to fall asleep on your laurels. This also applies to the giant Google, which has been releasing one novelty after another into its communication tools in recent weeks. For example, recently, Google Meet video conferencing users were given the opportunity to use animated backgrounds. He still gets the same tool now much more significant novelty – immediate transcription of the spoken word and subsequent translation.
Speech-to-text transcription has been working in Meet for some time. Even in several languages. So far, however, the function has really only been able to transform people’s speech in the same language. But now Google is testing under this principle as well instant translation. Of course, don’t expect Czech right away, so far only translation and subsequent writing from English into Spanish, French, German and Portuguese works.
The new product is now being tested in a beta program and should be available for Google Workspace owners accounts in the Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus tariffs and also in the training
What language would you use this for?
