Google lets you learn English words from search engine
Google has expanded its search engine with a new feature. From now on, users can be presented with a new English word every day, in order to learn the language.
An English word every day
Google has announced a new feature for those who would like to get to know the English language (better). In the search engine you will now find a function that can help you with this. The function came about because many people look up the meaning of a word. This is because they do not know a word or because they look up its definition somewhere. According to the September Google Trends, the most searched for the English definitions of ‘introverted’ and ‘integrity’ in the past month. Google’s new feature has added an easy-to-use way to not only learn about new words, but also spark your curiosity for new words, Google reports.
This works very easily, by using the Google search engine. For example, you can search for ‘define …’ instead of the dots, type a word of your choice. In this example, we typed “Define Market”. You can then tap the bell on the right of the screen, which will show you a (new) English word every day, along with its definition.
For now, the feature is only available in English. They are words tailored to both English learners and speakers who are fluent in English. Google will soon be able to choose different difficulty levels.
