Google launches new features to travel cheaper
Google has just announced the introduction of several new features on its search engine. In particular, they will allow you to speed up your hotel reservations, but also to save money on your plane or train tickets.
As Google likes to remind you, summer is fast approaching, and with it, the holidays. With a view to facilitating your holidays, the American company has already announced the introduction of several new features on its services, and in particular its search engine.
At the end of March, Google confirmed the forthcoming arrival of information relating to heat waves on its search engine. But this is not the only novelty planned by the Mountain View firm.
Indeed, Google has just presented this Monday, April 3, 2023 various improvements to better plan your trips. First of all, the builder thought of those who are used to researching their future hotel from their smartphone.
Google wants to make your travel searches easier
Indeed, on the mobile version of Google Search, users will soon be able to take advantage of a new option: “stories” for each establishment. For example, if you are looking for the famous Ritz in Paris, just click on the story of the hotel to discover photos, get more details on the services offered and about nearby places/attractions/monuments/transportation and read guest reviews.
The second novelty concerns Google Flights. This service already makes it possible to consult the current prices of flights and to compare them. Google goes a step further by launching a pilot price guarantee program, valid in the United States only. The idea is simple: if a flight has a “Price Guaranteed” badge, this means that the displayed price will not drop between now and the take-off date. If the ticket is purchased and the price drops, Google agrees to reimburse the difference via Google Pay.
Finally, the last feature has been designed to help you better plan your outings or activities during your travels. By searching for an attraction, establishment or monument on Google Search or Google Maps, users will be able to consult the prices directly on the card and book their tickets. In some cases, there will also be suggestions for related experiences related to your search (guided tour, pack grouping several activities, etc.).
