Google is working on a brand new wallpaper collection for Chromebooks

Wallpaper adapts to time of day

Another thing that immediately stands out is that the wallpapers adapt to the time of day. As soon as it gets darker outside, the wallpaper will also darken. This takes the user experience to a whole other level, because it feels much more natural.

Radiance will be available soon in the wallpaper library on your Chromebook. If you’d rather install the wallpapers now, we’ll explain how that works. You just need to enable access to Google’s wallpaper staging server. You do that by chrome:flags#use-wallpaper-staging-url copy and paste into Chrome. After that, it may take about five minutes to find Radiance in your Chrome OS wallpaper library. You cannot yet use the link between the light and dark variant, because the mechanism for this is not yet operational.
