Although it may seem that nothing big is happening in this direction, there is still a relatively important lawsuit overseas between the giant of Epic Games and Google. The game studio is suing its current opponent for allegedly excessive monopoly position, which is reflected, among other things, in the mandatory submission of a significant share of profits for applications and games that are located in the Play Store database. And in order to put in their phones or tablets in the basic equipment did not discover any application source other than the Play Store. It has even been specifically quantified that while a Google manufacturer normally rewards eight percent of its search engine revenue, partners have reached twelve after joining the program. For example, companies LG or Motorola reportedly received an extraordinary 3 to 6 percent of profits in the Play Store.
The existence of this program, which was never officially announced, of course Epic Games are loudly critical. Approximate numbers are also available on how much Premier Device Program specific manufacturers have used. The mentioned companies LG and Motorola had 95 and 98 percent of the devices in it. The Chinese group BBK (OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme měla) was to be 70 percent. Sony was supposed to be 50 and Xiaomi even “only” 40 percent of the device.
