Bloodhunt – -apkrig

Sharkmob Studio recently announced a battle royal from the universe of the desktop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade. The multiplayer carving from the point of view of a third person appeared as part of the opening of the Summer Game Fest, and now we know that vampires will run through the streets of Prague in a title called Bloodhunt.

It takes place in the same world as the mentioned RPG, where vampires have to hide their identity from ordinary citizens. How secretive open skirmishes are in the alleys and on the roofs, I will leave to your interpretation.

In any case, as part of the battle royale, you will fight rivals from quarreling clans and a mysterious community known as Entity, which hunts vampires in the second coming of the Inquisition. Of course, predators don’t like the role of prey, so it’s up to you to restore order to the vampire community.

A kind of lockdown is thrown into Prague in this universe, which is probably not related to a pandemic, but rather to a high concentration of bloodthirsty killers. In the trailer, the village will certainly recognize the Old Town Square or containers for sorted waste, for example, the screaming alley is already less familiar with knowledge.

At the same time, belonging to a clan should define your playing style, and you will of course be able to personally adapt your vampire child as well. You will be able to eliminate opponents both near and far, with weapons and various superpowers. There are currently three clans known from the model, each with a pair of characters – Brujah, Nosferatu and Toreador. Others should follow, however.

Thanks to the vampire’s immortality and forces, you can easily climb buildings and jump down from them in an instant. Sharpened senses will alert you to the presence of prey, civilians or nearby shooting. Each of the characters then has three special abilities, the first of which is related to mobility (longer jumps, teleport), the second is passive (increased regeneration, partial invisibility) and the third active. These are probably the most interesting, whether you send a flock of bats to explore the area, or perhaps create a shield that will protect you from missiles.

You will compete for the championship either solo or in a three-member team, while the total number of players should be between forty and fifty. In the Old Town, you will find yourself without weapons that you must find – as well as armor or transfusion bags. You can find them, for example, in police vans or in looted shops, where you will hang out, while red fog is slowly spilling over the streets of Prague.

If this sounds like a completely standard battle royal to you, you’re basically right. However, Sharkmob decided to mix at least one vampire twist into it. You can suck blood from the lives of civilians and thus unlock special bonuses. You can have up to three of them at a time, but actually up to seven – if you manage to drink blood from other players or computer-controlled Entities.
