Google Home app has problems adding smart home devices

For many families, the Google Home app is the central point where their smart home equipment comes together, but due to an error, everything feels a bit less smooth. For many people – but not for everyone – Google Home shows an error that it cannot reach the smart home devices when you want to add them.

Due to the error, it is not possible to add a smart home gadget. It’s annoying if you want to turn your Christmas tree lights on or off via Google using a smart plug, just to name an example. It is of course possible to control a smart plug directly via the app that belongs to the brand on your smartphone, but giving Google Assistant the order to turn on the Christmas tree is not an option at the moment.

The problem seems to apply to various devices, which seems to be TP-Link equipment anyway. Samsung SmartThings, Nanoleaf and Govee also appear to not work very well with Google’s smart home app. It mainly occurs in recent days, but there are people who have had this problem for much longer. Are you looking for a solution? It must come from Google, but there is a workaround. You can read it on AWSmart.
