Amazon is turning the price screw: Popular subscription is becoming more expensive

It’s getting more expensive for streaming customers again: After the USA and Great Britain, Amazon also wants to have more money for a popular service in Germany. Amazon raises the monthly prices for both the standard subscription and the unlimited membership.

“Adjusted” prices have been in effect in the USA and Great Britain since April, and now it should also be more expensive for German customers of Amazon Music (Unlimited). The group announces that in this country new fees from June 24, 2022 are valid. The group charges more for both individual memberships with Amazon Music and Amazon Music Unlimited.

At least 3.99 euros per month have been charged for Amazon Music so far. In the future, Amazon wants its customers with them 4.99 euros per month ask to checkout. The reason given is that Amazon wants to offer “even more content and functions” in the future. What that should be is not explained.

Membership with Amazon Music Unlimited as part of Amazon Prime previously cost EUR 7.99 per month.
