‘Google Home and Photos app coming to Galaxy Watch 4 and 5
Soon you will be able to control your smart lights and speakers from your wrist, at least if it depends on a new leak. Google is working on a version of the Google Home app for Wear OS, and Photos and Personal Safety will also work on your watch.
Google Home for Wear OS
Google has big plans with new Wear OS apps, according to screenshots that Mishal Rahman has found. Presumably, Google will launch the Home app along with Google Photos and Personal Safety for Wear OS watches. The company will probably do this together with the launch of the Pixel Watch on October 6.
We already notice that it will be possible to switch smart lamps on and off or adjust the brightness from your watch. You can also change the temperature of your thermostat, but there are probably even more applications. The new Google Home features for Wear OS are somewhat reminiscent of the Device Controls menu for Android.

Finally, there’s Personal Safety, which is an app exclusive to Pixels that lets you share health data intended for emergency responders. On the other hand, you can also use the app to set gestures with which you can quickly contact rescuers, friends or family if you are in need. It’s not yet clear whether these apps will be available on all Wear OS watches, or just the Wear OS 3 smartwatches, including the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the new Galaxy Watch 5 series. There is also the possibility that these apps will only work on Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch. More clarity will probably come on October 6 at the Made by Google event.
