Google Discover test with widgets for weather, stocks and sports scores

Google Discover is a handy tool for many. For example, you immediately have the news that interests you at your fingertips. Now being tested with new features for the service with useful widgets.

Widgets for Google Discover

The colleagues at 9to5Google have stumbled upon a new feature for Google Discover. With almost all Android smartphones, you can swipe from left to right, and Google Discover will appear on the screen. We are now experimenting with the possibility of placing widgets at the top of the screen. These widgets are added when, for example, when searching for a sports club or a share, ‘follow’ is pressed. The display of a weather widget is also one of the new possibilities.

The feature appears to be under testing and is not yet widely available. It is not known when Google wants to roll out the feature widely in Google Discover. According to the colleagues, the function now looks like in the images below.
