Google continues to release updates for Android 12 Beta

This year, Google is doing everything differently. For example, the company released details about the new Pixel 6 series for the first time, and Android 12 was not yet made available for Pixel phones during the official announcement. Now it also appears that the beta program of Android 12 will continue.

Google almost always releases preview and beta versions of new Android versions. These are part of the beta program that select smartphones can participate in. After the launch of the stable version, Google will stop the beta program. This year, Google announced Android 12 on October 4, and on Tuesday, the new Android version was brought to the Google Pixel 3 series, Pixel 3a series, Pixel 4 series, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5.

Now, in a post on Reddit, Google says that Android 12 Beta will continue as normal: “You now have the option to continue in the beta program on your Pixel device and receive ongoing Android 12 pre-release updates, including feature drops. , bug fixes, and stability and performance improvements.” This way, Google can continue to test new features through Android 12 Beta before bringing them to the general public.

Do you want to keep the stable version of Android 12?

Have you recently signed up for the Android 12 Beta (you can do that here) and not yet unsubscribed? Then you stay in the beta program and you can expect the new update next December. If you prefer to use the stable version of Android 12, you have until December 1 to unsubscribe. If you don’t, your Pixel will factory reset need to go back to the stable version.
