Google Chrome will soon let you add notes to passwords and more
Password apps come in many shapes and sizes. Still, many will be happy with a password manager that comes standard with your favorite browser. Google comes with an improvement for the password manager in Chrome, with the addition of notes.
Notes on your password in Chrome
Do you use the password manager in Google Chrome? Then you may soon be able to use a new feature that will come in handy when using the service. A user on Reddit stumbled upon the new feature, which was noticed in Chrome Canary 101. New is the field for adding a note, at the bottom of the screen. For example, adding a note can be useful if you have set (additional) security questions. You can then add the answer as a note. Another example where this can be useful is to indicate when you last changed the password.
Manually save passwords
It is also possible to manually save a password in your keychain via flags. This can be useful if Chrome itself does not recognize that a password can be saved. You can already activate this feature yourself in the stable version of Chrome by going to chrome://flags/#add-passwords-in-settings.
It is unknown when Google will make the notes option in its password manager widely available.
