Google brings Magic Eraser and other goodies to every smartphone

One of the exclusive features of the Google Pixel 7 series is the Magic Eraser, which allows you to remove unwanted objects such as your ex-girlfriend from photos. This exclusive feature is now also coming to other phones. And there is more!

A magic eraser for everyone

Google brings the good news through Twitter outwardly: “Magic Eraser is now rolling out to ALL Pixel phones”. From now on, owners of other Pixel phones, outside of the Pixel 7 series, will be able to use the magic eraser in Google Photos. But there is more good news. Google gives also indicates that non-Pixel phones can use the Magic Eraser in Google Photos. A Google One subscription is required for this.

So, do you have Google Photos on your phone and a Google One subscription? Then you can probably already find the magic eraser in the Photos app. Here’s how to get to the Magic Eraser in Google Photos:

1. Open Google Photos on your phone
2. Tap the photo you want to edit
3. Tap on To process bottom
4. Swipe now suggestions to the left and tap Tools
5. Tap magic eraser and select swipe on the object you want to remove
6. Tap on Finished to save the result

In addition, anyone with Google Photos and a Google One subscription will have access to a new HDR effect for videos. And there are also new designs for collages.
