Global mobile phone production has slowed quite a bit since the beginning of the year
The lack of processors or the constant unpleasant effects of a pandemic have a significant negative impact on the production of telephones. According to TrendMicro data, mobile phone production in the second quarter of this year (Q2 2021) fell from the first by 11 percentage points. It is said to have been made “Only” 307 million new phones. This year’s three-month analyzes have a downward trend among themselves, however, compared to Q2 2020, this year’s number is still 10% higher.
According to this analysis, Samsung, which is still the largest producer of mobile phones in the world, is said to be with its approximately 59 million units produced offended by a huge 24% since the beginning of the year. In the case of Apple and its iPhones (49 million units), this is a decrease of 22%, however, the American company operates with a different number of phones, which it represents in other periods. For Q3, a big jump up can be expected. Apple is said to be the fourth largest producer after Q2 2021. Even ahead are Oppo and Xiaomi, the same as 49.5 million mobile phones produced.
