Germany launch, costs & content of the NBCUniversal streaming service
In April 2020, NBCUniversal launched its own streaming service “Peacock” in the USA – now the video-on-demand service should also quickly gain a foothold in Europe. Find out when, where and how you can use “Peacock” in Germany here at GIGA.
The streaming service “Peacock”, named after the traditional NBC peacock logo, will hold the NBCUniversal film and series catalog. “Disney +” has already successfully shown that even a single media company can set up an international streaming service.
Even if NBCUniversal may not seem as tangible to Europeans as Disney, it is the third largest media company in the world and is even ahead of the Walt Disney Company. Nevertheless, “Peacock” will take a special route in Europe and will not be offered directly as a single streaming service for the time being.
