Assassin’s Creed Valhalla already had a lot of weapon types to offer with its original release, but this was not enough variety for many. After sickles have found their way into the game afterwards, you can finally use one-handed swords in battle.

You can use the new type of short swords for the first time at the beginning of the Sigrblot Festival. You can get your first sword from Dealer Norvid buy that you can exchange various items for fixed tokens. He stands near the large sacrificial statue in the form of the big pig in the middle of the festival area in your settlement Hraefnathorp. You can buy the “Sköfnung” short sword from him for 300 festival stamps.

You can earn festival tokens relatively quickly by completing the event quests. Play a few Örlög games against Alvin or fight in the arena on the fairground, where you will also be provided with a short sword. So you can try it out and see if you like the handling. By completing the quests, you should quickly collect 300 festivals.

So far we have unfortunately not been able to discover any other one-handed swords in the game. However, that will change with the start of the second big DLC ​​”The Siege of Paris” on August 12th and you will be able to find new short swords in the game world.

This is also urgently needed, because like some other types of weapons you can also wield one of the short swords in each hand and so deal more damage. As soon as the locations of new one-handed swords are known, we will add to this guide accordingly.
