GeForce Now at 120 FPS is now on all Android smartphones

Nvidia initially reserved the possibility of playing in 120 FPS with GeForce Now on certain Android smartphones, and now the option is now available on all models.

As a reminder, GeForce Now is a cloud gaming service that allows gamers to stream PC games from platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store on virtually any device. It’s a good way to extend the PC gaming experience to a smartphone or its TV, or just play games that your PC isn’t powerful enough to run on its own. The service is technically free, but you can pay for longer sessions and better quality.

Regarding Android, it is obvious that a smartphone with a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz is necessary to be able to play on GeForce Now in 120 FPS. Nvidia says the rollout is ongoing, meaning some people might not have the option yet.

here is official list from Nvidia of supported devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S22/+/Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S21/+/Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8/+/Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S7/+
  • Asus ROG 5
  • Google Pixel 6 Pro
  • OnePlus 9 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 11
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra

For now, only Android smartphones can enjoy games at 120 FPS. The latest iPhones also have a 120Hz display, but Nvidia says support isn’t yet available on iOS with its cloud gaming platform.
