Gboard gets major update and brings new toolbar
Google has rolled out a new update for Gboard. The company’s keyboard app will feature a revamped toolbar that makes using the app a lot easier.
Gboard with new toolbar
A new update is ready for Google’s own keyboard app Gboard. The Android application will be provided with a new toolbar, which is immediately noticeable after installing the update. The new toolbar adds a button that gives you direct access to the shortcuts you can use in Gboard. You can also use this to adjust the top bar. You can hold down the desired icons and drag them to the top bar.
For example, you can choose to open the overview of emojis in the toolbar next to the start icon for the shortcuts, together with GIF, the clipboard and the settings. But you can put this together entirely according to your own wishes. You can also choose whether to omit the microphone and replace it with your own shortcut. You can place up to 6 shortcuts in the toolbar, but you can also leave it completely empty.
The update will be rolled out first in Gboard’s beta program. The expectation is that the update will soon be rolled out by Google for the rest.
