Fuzzy clothes for over 3,000 euros
The Spanish fashion company Loewe presented a pixelated outfit as part of a new collection. For a mere 3,300 euros, you can transform yourself into a computer game character with the pixel collection.
Even in 2023, the so-called pixel look will apparently not have had its day. Because the design still exudes charm. This is also proven by the computer game Minecraft, which is still very popular ten years after its release. Now the fashion industry is discovering the look for itself.
Specifically, it is about the Spanish brand Loewe. Because the company’s designers developed a pixel collection that lives up to its name. At first glance, you look like a computer game character from Minecraft with the fuzzy clothes.
Loewe presents pixel collection for over 3,000 euros
A combination of pants and T-shirt already costs 3,300 euros. There is also a pixelated hoodie for 1,900 euros and a matching handbag for 2,700 euros. The complete pixel collection costs 7,900 euros.
The pixelated T-shirt with a blurry Loewe logo is again the most affordable item from the collection. It can be had for less than 600 euros. Even if it seems so at first, the company doesn’t rely on NFTs or the Metaverse.
Focus is on the details of the collection
The focus of the collection is on the optical details. Designers have strived to deliver garments that blur the lines between reality and the virtual. In contrast to the competition from Gucci or Balenciaga, the digital aspect is irrelevant.
Gucci, for example, has already established its own presence in the computer game Roblox. Balenciaga focused on Fortnite skins. Irrespective of this, it is interesting to what extent the fashion industry is guided by digital trends. Even if it’s probably out of most people’s pay bracket.
