Fraudsters send e-mails on behalf of the National Health Service in Britain

Internet fraud is spreading at a tremendous rate today. Scammers try a lot of practices on their victims, but they all aim to deprive you of your savings. Hoaxes and frauds – Police of the Slovak Republic – pointed out fraudsters posing as the National Health Service from Great Britain in their post on Facebook.

Scammers want to donate a million pounds to you via email

Fraudulent email is one of the most common practices for obtaining victim personal information. Emails like this were circulated as early as September 2020, offering millions in grants on behalf of the WHO. This time, the fraudsters pretend to be the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. They tell you that your name has been shortlisted to receive a contribution “Covid 19 / Covid Variant Health Grant” worth a million pounds.

In emails, fraudsters ask you for your full name, country, possibly date of birth, age, phone number, and information about your job. The information must then be sent to the e-mail below, which at first glance seems suspicious.

What to do if you run into it?

If you run into a cheater, you don’t have to cry right away. If there is a leak of personal data and unauthorized movements on the account in favor of fraudsters, it is possible to request the refund of the stolen amount through your beneficiary’s bank. You should also report the incident to the police.
