Football World Cup today: England – France in live stream and TV – quarterfinals

The quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup will end on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 with the games Morocco vs. Portugal and England vs. France. Unlike yesterday, all games will be shown on free TV, so you can follow both matches of the match day on ZDF in live stream and TV.

The quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup ends today with the games Morocco vs Portugal at 4:00 p.m. and England vs. France at 8:00 p.m. In contrast to the encounters on Friday, this time both broadcasts can be seen on free TV on ZDF, both as a live stream and on TV.

For Germany, the 2022 World Cup was already over after the preliminary round. Although the DFB-Elf won the last group match 4-2 against Costa Rica, this was not enough for the knockout round because of Japan’s 2-1 victory over Spain at the same time. In the first group game, Germany lost 2-1 to Japan despite a 1-0 lead. With Endo, Yoshida, Itakura, Tanaka and Kamada, five players started in the Japanese team that play in the Bundesliga. The DFB team still managed to draw 1-1 against Spain, but as mentioned, it wasn’t enough to make it into the round of 16.

World Cup 2022: when does Germany play and who is broadcasting?

In total, ARD and ZDF show 48 of the 64 World Cup broadcasts. All games of the German national team will definitely be available free of charge in the live stream and free TV on ARD and ZDF. This is how the public broadcasters split the transmissions of the DFB team in the preliminary round among themselves:

  • At ARD Christina Graf, Florian Naß, Gerd Gottlob and Tom Bartels can be heard on the commentary. Alexander Bommes and Julia Scharf lead through the football days in the “First”. Esther Sedlaczek will be heard in the stadium.
  • ZDF lets Oliver Schmidt, Martin Schneider, Claudia Neumann and Béla Réthy to the microphone. For the commentator legend Réthy it will be the last World Cup tournament where he will be heard during the live broadcast. Sandro Wagner will be heard as co-commentator. Jochen Breyer and Katrin Müler-Hohenstein moderate the ZDF broadcasts.
  • Telekom backs them Magenta TV Games on Wolff Fuss, Marco Hagemann, Jonas Friedrich, Jan Platte, Christina Rann, Christian Straßburger, Alexander Klich and Benni Zander as commentators.
  • The legendary presenter Johannes B. Kerner works together with the former DFB international Michael Ballack as presenter. The ARD team of experts consists of Almuth Schult, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Sami Khedira as well as Thomas Broich, ZDF on Christoph Kramer and Per Mertesacker and the women’s national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg.
