Trademark application submitted for “Z Roll”: Samsung is working on a rollable smartphone

After several generations of foldable smartphones, Samsung now seems to want to ignite the next evolutionary stage: rollable smartphones. At the European Trademark and Patent Office the industry leader now has one Application submitted for the brand name “Z Roll”, like the Dutch Samsung blog Galaxy Club reported. After the successful granting of the brand name, which is still pending, the smartphone manufacturer could use it as a “Galaxy Z Roll” launch.

As a mobile smartphone could look like in practice, Samsung recently showed itself in a spectacular video:

First of all, folding cell phones come in the summer

With a Launch in summer be loud SamMobile but probably not to be expected. First of all, Samsung is likely to present the third edition of its folding phones in the coming weeks: the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 should, according to the rumor mill, be presented in June or July. The two foldable smartphones will receive some substantial improvements, including support for Samsung’s Stylus S Pen and a sub-display camera.

Interesting too: Crazy Samsung tablet: The whole world is amazed.

LG was also working on a rollable smartphone

At the beginning of the year, LG also presented a rollable smartphone. After exiting the mobile communications market, however, the LG Rollable will no longer be available on the market; only Group employees in South Korea still have the chance to buy unpublished LG smartphones at low prices. Hopefully Samsung’s accordion smartphone will be spared such a fate.
