Flexispot Sit2Go – design and scope of delivery

A height-adjustable desk like the Flexispot E7 alone will make a big difference in the long run, but it won’t replace the lack of movement. With the Flexispot Sit2Go, the manufacturer also has a direct solution for this: a combination of chair and bicycle, which you can use under the table and be active while working at the same time. There is also an alternative with your own table, but for my use case the Sit2Go is the perfect solution.

When unpacking, you can see how small and compact the Flexispot Sit2Go can be, as it can be easily disassembled and folded at the back. Even if you don’t dismantle it, you get a fairly low profile when folding the legs alone.

The assembly is extremely easy. You unfold the rear legs, fix the pedals and build up the seat. This only takes a few minutes and is completely uncomplicated thanks to the good instructions.

The design of the Flexispot Sit2Go can be described as an office chair with a bicycle ergometer in between. We have wheels underneath that allow the chair to be moved around the house, which is handy when taking turns with other people. If you sit on it, however, nothing rolls anymore because the wheels then become immobile. That’s just safe for safe boarding and sitting. It is therefore not possible for people to drive you through the apartment.

On top of that we have the bike part of the Flexispot Sit2Go, which is built very solidly and pedaling with your legs is very quiet, so you can hardly hear it. It doesn’t matter whether you drive in the lowest level or in the highest level. This is very important to me, not only when I’m working, but also during my free time, because you want to avoid disturbing noises, which you’re certainly already surrounded by enough. However, this is not a matter of course, since I already had good home trainers that had to be returned because they were simply too loud, even for sporting use. You could either hear the clicking of plastic or the chain that was installed in some. Everything is quieter here than my water cooling on the PC.

In front of the seat of the Flexispot Sit2Go you will find a simple controller where you can set the bicycle resistance in seven levels. Driving is either very easy and casual or very strenuous. When working, you can focus on light exercise, but if you want to do it more sporty, turn up the resistance completely. This makes it a two-in-one device for everything. In the few breaks that I take, I use my smartphone while driving or play something with the Nintendo Switch and time flies faster than you think. Personally, I always go to a maximum of three quarters of the maximum resistance, since everything above that slowly degenerates into work. Therefore, it can also be used as a sports bike. Except that you don’t bend down here, but sit relaxed and relaxed.

This is particularly pleasant because we have a decent chair with a proper backrest at the top. Unfortunately, we don’t have that with sports ergometers. Often you have these uncomfortable bicycle seats that I always feel uncomfortable on. The seat of the Flexispot Sit2Go with its memory foam is basically very comfortable. It’s not a chair you can sit on for eight hours, and it doesn’t completely replace the office chair as it doesn’t have enough settings for that. You can only adjust the height and slide the seat back and forth with the two controls. It is therefore best suited for the occasional exchange with your own office chair and not as a full replacement. I practically swap my two chairs over and over again, so that in 8 hours I use the Flexispot Sit2Go about half the time. It doesn’t matter whether I only move my legs now and again or ride constantly without a break. Every movement counts. It’s true that sometimes you get too focused and forget to drive, but eventually you get used to it and drive without realizing it.

By the way, I am personally 185 tall and can ride comfortably at about two thirds of the maximum height, i.e. so that my legs are at right angles.

And actually, thanks to the display (which doesn’t show anything in the picture below because I took it when I unpacked it), I notice that I’ve already covered more than 500 km on the Flexispot Sit2Go, mostly passively. This has resulted in a significant improvement in my endurance and the strength I have in my legs. It is much easier for me to move at all, to stand up, etc., because my legs no longer just stand around motionless for hours.

The display runs on batteries and shows various data such as time, speed, kilometers traveled etc. You can easily scroll through these numbers by pressing the single button that the Flexispot Sit2Go has.

The Flexispot vibration plate VB1 offers you another possibility to offer the muscles some movement, to promote blood circulation, to relieve tension and more.

In addition to the vibration plate, the packaging also contains a power cable, a remote control and two fitness bands. Accordingly, the Flexispot vibration plate VB1 is almost immediately ready for use. It is mostly made of plastic with a rubberized surface on top. Nevertheless, it is super stable and because of the suction feet on the underside, the vibration plate does not slip away.

If you want, you can fasten the straps on the underside to do various exercises. A nice thing, but I didn’t really use it because training without bands is more comfortable for me and a little quieter because the bands naturally rub off on the side. On the underside you will find a kind of handle to hold on to if you want to carry the vibration plate or drag it behind you.

The Flexispot vibration plate VB1 practically only does one thing, it rocks alternately up and down on the right and left side. You can set very slow speeds so that there are larger but less stressful movements, which already makes a big difference when working because it stimulates blood circulation. Or you can set it to as high a frequency as possible to make the muscles in the body vibrate, causing the muscles to contract and relax at an increased frequency. This builds muscle, clears blockages in the bloodstream and stimulates fat burning.

Of course, you shouldn’t expect miracles and normal strength training doesn’t replace that, since completely different muscles are used here, but according to several studies, 10 minutes a day at a high frequency is enough to achieve many positive effects from active sport, sometimes even at the same level or better to promote. For example, it improves balance and reduces pain throughout the body. Personally, I don’t really exercise on it actively, but can see that two months of daily use of at least 10-15 minutes at a high frequency has resulted in my muscles being more defined and clothes appearing larger. Not that I ate less. My scale shows more and more muscle mass. Either way, it’s also a perfect way to start the day well shaken up, as it has a similar effect on me as a cup of coffee and, for various reasons, also leads to my hunger being driven. Again, that’s a good thing, because when I’m hungry I eat something sensible and don’t reach for snacks or sweets. Another point that struck me is that it drains the body well.

Here you can set the vibration of the Flexispot VB1 in 99 levels. Either directly on the device or with the included remote control. For sitting and prolonged use in general, I would recommend the lowest possible setting. My legs always hurt when I sit for a long time and I no longer have the problem because of the Flexispot VB1 vibration plate. A bonus point is that it’s relatively quiet and doesn’t really get in the way.

If you want to do active training on it, you can do that with the Flexispot vibration plate VB1, as you can also use it while standing. So you can do various fitness exercises with it, do aerobics and more. I’ve been using it once a day passively under the Flexispot E7 desk and once a day actively for 15 minutes at maximum frequency for weeks. It’s just important to note that you bend your legs slightly and don’t let the vibration reach your head. It is best to experiment with different positions to find the right position. It is also possible to train the arms with it. I would recommend starting with low frequencies first until your body gets used to it and then going higher over time. For me it took about three days.

You can operate the Flexispot vibration plate VB1 with the remote control or the buttons on the display. The display shows you which level you have selected and how many minutes are left. The default is 10 minutes. You can also choose between various programs or jump directly to one of three fixed frequencies. Alternatively, you can adjust the speed between 1 and 99 in increments of 1.

The Flexispot Sit2Go is available in black and white, where actually it should be called grey, which is actually better because I really like the colour. It currently costs €329.99. I recently had a 600 euro sports bike from a well known brand which I sent back as it was useless. Now I have two Sit2Go in the house because for me it is the better solution, it is of high quality and it costs me less. Two because others in the house often occupy the chair before me.

It is similar with the Flexispot vibration plate VB1 out. These are also available in black and white. Here I chose the white version because the design is rather glossy here and I don’t have to see any dust. If Flexispot offered one here in the same matte gray as the Sit2Go, I would definitely buy it. The vibration plate currently costs €159.99. Not cheap, but still quite fair, since the motor works really quietly and the device is really very robust. This is not the case with cheap alternatives. I also trust a little more that the engine will last a long time.
