‘First Nokia 5.4 specifications leaked’

The website NokiaPowerUser says to have the first specifications of the Nokia 5.4. The budget smartphone succeeds the Nokia 5.3 of this year and would be announced ‘earlier than expected’, but when exactly is unclear. This may happen before the end of the year, because HMD Global (the company that makes the Nokia phones) would also like to launch the Nokia 7.3.

According to the source, the Nokia 5.4 has a screen of about 6.4 inches with a small hole for the selfie camera. The 5.3 has a notch for the front camera and that would mean that it is slightly more subtle in the 5.4. The Nokia 3.4, a slightly cheaper smartphone, for example, already has a display with a camera hole.

NokiaPowerUser also talks about a faster processor for the Nokia 5.4, although it is unclear which one this is. The current Nokia 5.3 has a Snapdragon 665, a reasonably smooth chip that is also found in smartphones such as the Motorola Moto G8 Power and Xiaomi Mi A3. It is reported that 4GB of RAM, 64 / 128GB of storage space and a quad camera is also available.

About the Nokia 5.3

As mentioned, we do not know when the new Nokia smartphone will be announced. The Nokia 5.3 is still widely available and costs 169 euros at the time of writing. The smartphone has a large 6.55-inch screen with an HD resolution (1600 by 720 pixels), 4000 mAh battery and plastic design with a fingerprint scanner on the back. Since the 5.3 is part of the Android One program, you can count on fast and regular updates.

There are also four cameras of 13, 5, 2 and 2 megapixels on the back. This concerns a normal camera, wide-angle lens, macro camera and depth sensor. You can read how the cameras – and the rest of the device – perform in the Nokia 5.3 review.
