First devices get update to Android 12: first the Pixels

Google announced the Pixel 6 series yesterday. Now there is good news for other Pixel device users. Google has started rolling out Android 12.

The first smartphones will now be updated with an update to Android 12. The news follows the announcement of the Pixel 6 series, last night. Earlier, Android 12 was officially announced and there has also been testing recently with Developer Preview versions and beta versions. So far, no smartphone has actually been equipped with the update to the latest Android version, but that will change.

The stable version of Android 12 will be rolled out to various devices from now on. The first devices to come will be the Pixel 3 series, the Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a and the Pixel 5, so everything from the Pixel 3 can expect the update from now on. It seems that those who participated in the beta will be the first to get the update. This has a size of about 100MB for beta users, the final version can just be 1.8GB.
