Apple brings Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to iPad

Apple has announced that professional editing programs Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro are coming to your iPad. The apps were already available for the Mac, but a version for the iPad was not yet available. Until now! We tell you exactly what you can do with the apps and how much they will cost.

Final Cut Pro for the iPad

The Final Cut Pro editing program is intended for editing videos. Now that the app is also coming to your iPad, it is possible to edit and edit 4K videos on your tablet the way you want. The magnetic timeline makes it easy to create your own storyline.

Apple has overhauled Final Cut Pro’s controls so that the app is now easy to use with the iPad’s touchscreen. With the Apple Pencil (second generation) you will soon be able to easily draw and write in Final Cut Pro. The app also supports the Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio, so you can edit the images in the way that’s most convenient for you.

Have you used other programs such as iMovie for iPadOS so far? Then it’s easy to switch, because it will soon be possible to move existing projects from iMovie to Final Cut Pro. This way you can immediately continue editing previous videos. Transferring videos from Final Cut Pro on iPad to the app on Mac is also super easy.

Logic Pro is also coming to the iPad

Final Cut Pro is mainly intended for editing images, but Logic Pro focuses on audio files. This app also works with the Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard and turns your iPad into a music studio. The app makes it very simple to edit recordings of instruments, for example, or to edit sung songs.

To make finding audio files faster, Apple has added a new Sound Browser to Logic Pro. In this browser, almost all instruments, sound effects and other audio files can be found with a simple search. This saves time when creating new music or when editing other files.

Apple has now announced the prices for the new apps, and it is striking that the apps are not for sale for a one-time fee. Americans don’t have to wait long for the new apps, Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro can already be installed on the iPad on May 23. It is not yet known when the apps will come to the Netherlands, Apple has not yet made any statements about this. So for now we have to do without the professional editing apps here.
