FIFA 23 release date has been announced! And more details: about women’s football, World Cups and HyperMotion2

Earlier this week we already reported that the cover of the Ultimate Edition does not only feature a male football player. Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain is on the cover along with female footballer Sam Kerr of English club Chelsea.

At the time, we thought EA Sports wasn’t brave enough to put Sam Kerr on the cover alone, but now we know more. For example, we now know that FIFA 23 will be released on September 30, but also that the Standard Edition will come in 2 flavors, with Mbappé on the front or Kerr.

You can choose what you feel most comfortable with. Incidentally, it is not an empty shell that there is a star from the world of women’s football on the cover. FIFA 23 not only offers a wide range of our famous male football heroes, but the ladies are also playable.

World Cup football

There will be a free addition of the World Cup in Qatar where you can play the tournament with the men and the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will also be added.

HyperMotion2

So what news does FIFA 23 have in store for us? Well HyperMotion2 for example. You wouldn’t expect it, but that is an improvement of the HyperMotion as it is already there. HyperMotion is a technology that changes how football players, and football players, move with and without the ball.

Finally, some Power Shots. The name says it all, extra powerful shots, hopefully on target. If you have space with your attacker you can choose to do a Power Shot on target with L1 + R1. It is completely manual, so aim between the posts. If you do it right, you shoot insanely hard on goal, and you can score spectacularly. But that makes sense.
