Ferrari hacked: thousands of internal documents leaked
It’s Ferrari’s turn to experience a hack, with the hacker group RansonEXX responsible. They were able to recover several thousand documents, with the total data size exceeding 7 GB. The hackers obtained internal Ferrari documents, spec sheets, repair instructions and other items.
This is not the first time Ferrari documents have been hacked and leaked online. Previously, another group of hackers gained access to the servers of the engineering company Speroni, which supplies parts for sports cars, and put elements of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati on sale. At the time, Ferrari’s infrastructure had not been affected.
Regarding hacking, it is a ransomware-type attack. The hackers managed to gain access to the documents and encrypted everything. A ransom is demanded to provide the key that will allow you to regain full access to the data.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serathe automaker officially announces that it has no “no evidence of a breach of its systems or ransomware and informs that there has been no interruption of its activity and operation. The company is working to identify the source of the event and will take all necessary measures”.
