Music service Spotify has announced a change in the interface. There will be a new home screen where you can access your favorites faster. Not only for your music, but also for your podcasts, for example.

Every now and then Spotify comes with an update where various changes and improvements are rolled out. That is now the case and Spotify promises a new home screen that gives users faster access to the favorite content. This applies not only to your music, but also to the shows of your favorite podcasts. It’s the place to get new recommendations and re-listen to your recent favorites, says Spotify. Now music and podcasts are shown interchangeably, that should also be done better with the new filters.

There are two ways to navigate your new home screen. This can be done via ‘Music’ and ‘Podcasts & Shows’. Spotify says the following about this;

Music:

• Quick access to new releases based on personal music taste
• Suggestions for new albums and music playlists.
• New buttons make it easy to share, like and play music instantly.

Podcasts & Shows:

• Users can go straight to new episodes of their favorite shows.
• The feed provides personalized recommendations for shows and episodes.
• Listeners can easily save or play podcasts without leaving the home screen.
