Fans have revived the online multiplayer racing game MotorStorm -apkrig

Old love never dies. And when the game’s official servers shut up forever, a group of skilled fans can take the place of the publisher. One of these has now brought to life the online multiplayer racing game MotorStorm from Evolution Studios. The first episode debuted with the PlayStation 3 in 2006. However, its servers stopped working in January 2012, and since then you have only been able to drive in this hilarious arcade alone.

Only a group of fans who call themselves PSONE changed that. But this shortcut has nothing to do with the first PlayStation. It means PS Online Network Emulated and their goal is to restore online multiplayer to some older games. If you take the appropriate steps, you can play MotorStorm again with other fans and other games in addition to it. We offer Warhawk, Killzone 2 or Twisted Metal: Black Online and work on SOCOM: Confrontation, Resistance or Wipeout HD. The authors would also like to bring the virtual world of PlayStation Home to life.

Multiplayer from fans is free

The developers emphasize that they have nothing to do with Sony, and strictly reject any financial support that, paradoxically, could cause them more trouble. The only purpose is to restore and preserve the former functionality without any commercial potential. Of course, you need the original game, but in addition to the PS3 console, the RPCS3 emulator also understands the community online service. You still need a PSN account.

In view of all the above, it is of course clear that the service itself is free. With the help of reverse engineering, enthusiasts would like to add support for some multiplayer games from the PlayStation 2 in the future.
