Facebook mistakenly logged out iPhone users

Facebook made a small blunder today by logging out all iPhone users. You probably got an error message when opening the iOS app. But that is now ancient history.

“We are aware that some people are currently having difficulty accessing Facebook. We believe this is due to a change in configuration and we are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible ”, Facebook told Engadget. The problem is effectively corrected.

The real problem has been with users who have two-step verification on the account. Facebook is sending a verification code via SMS to authorize the connection and it took a long time to arrive. This is due to the high demand for connections. But everything is good tonight. By the way, it is advisable to prefer verification codes with a dedicated application (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) rather than SMS.

If you were signed out of Facebook on your iPhone today, it is normally enough to tap your photo to access your account again. If that doesn’t work, enter your username and password. And if it really gets stuck, delete the app and re-download it from the App Store.
