Intended for human rights defenders, journalists, and anyone in a conflict zone or in an unstable region, this application offers a simple and effective way to capture photos and/or videos that will be verifiable and can then be used for investigative purposes to prosecute those responsible for heinous crimes.

Each content, which can optionally include an annotation or a tag, will be geolocated and can be used as evidence. Storage will take place on secure servers of LexisNexis. Eyewitness will then forward the evidence to a team of international law experts.

Raw images related to crimes, video of a criminal action, images helping to identify persons responsible for a crime (such as uniforms, badges, license plates, types of weapons, . ..), or the recording of witness statements, any digital evidence may be admissible in court provided it is relevant and reliable.

The application offers many functions:
– Choice for the user to remain anonymous.
– Urgent deletion of content thanks to a self-destruction function.
– Access by personal code.
– Modification of the application icon to make it difficult to identify.
– Etc.

An Internet connection will be required for the first use, for the registration of the application.
When content is sent, a small green icon will appear to confirm that it has been received correctly at the destination.
