Emoji will get a new design in Android 12

Google updates Emoji regularly as a new version of the Unicode standard is released each year. However, Android 12 will not only bring new ones, but also improve some of the existing ones to be more similar to the emoji of other manufacturers. However, Google did not intend to copy someone else’s design, but wanted the emoji to convey the same message on all platforms, regardless of who designed them.

Some have undergone significant redesign, while others have hardly changed. The new design has been given, for example, coconut emoji, which from now on will show only one cut coconut, or Mount Fuji, which will contain only a mountain and not water with its reflection. The smartphone icon has also undergone a change, which now looks more modern. The new syringe will not have a blood red liquid in it, probably to support vaccination.

The release of the final version of Android 12 is still a long way off. It is therefore possible that some of these changes will not get into the stable version or, conversely, other emojis will get a new look.
