This is what your working day looks like

  • 09:00 am – The first cup of coffee is not yet over, or an important rumor about the new iPhone pops up. You inform the readers about this as soon as possible, explain what you could do with the new functions and add nuance. After all, with your expertise you know that you can never be sure with Apple;
  • 10:30 am – During the editorial meeting you pitch your idea for a unique background story. You want to research what the best affordable iPhone is, or maybe you want to do an interview to make a story about technology and education. Together with the other editors, you dot the i’s and cross the t’s for your article idea, after which you get to work;
  • 12:00 p.m. – Time for a break. Together with your colleagues you take a walk through the beautiful city center of Nijmegen and get a fresh sandwich at the market, or you can score a greasy bite;
  • 2:00 p.m. – While you are busy with your background story, it suddenly comes out that Apple is announcing a new event. Cool! So you crawl like the wiedeweerga in the pen to tell iPhoned readers about this;
  • 3:30 PM – You have a meeting with colleagues to discuss the new design of the device pages. What is good, and what could be better? You give constructive feedback with always the reader in mind;
  • 4:45 PM – The day is almost over, but not before you spot some interesting news for the evening shift. You explain to the evening editors that it is better for them to write down the fresh news as a tip article (with a step-by-step plan), because then our readers can immediately start working with it.
