If you want to share your files or photos with others, it is very easy with the share links. This way you can share photos, videos, documents or entire folders with everyone, even if they don’t have a STRATO HiDrive account. Do you have papers that you would like to digitize? Then use the PDF scanner to scan the document and save it directly in the cloud on HiDrive. This scanner even features text recognition so you can convert the document into editable text.

STRATO HiDrive has apps for Android and iOS that allow you to view, manage or upload files. If you are not on the road, you can use the desktop software for Windows or MAC. If you prefer to work via your browser or, for example, your Chromebook, that is also possible. In addition, advanced users can get started with the optional access protocols (SFTP/FTPS, WebDAV, SMB/CIFS, rsync, SCP and Git) and also integrate the HiDrive cloud storage into their own systems, or connect it to a NAS server, for example.

Safely stored in Europe

The biggest problem with other storage services is that you don’t know which server and country your data is on. There are countries where, for example, an investigation service can just view your data because that is legally regulated there. This will not happen to you with STRATO HiDrive, because your data is only stored in ISO 27001-certified data centers in the EU. In this way STRATO can guarantee optimum safety. Also important, STRATO is completely climate neutral. The data centers run on CO2-neutral electricity, and since 2021 STRATO has been compensating for its other CO2 emissions.

Extensions for STRATO HiDrive

With the standard packages you have a certain amount of storage space, free use of the apps and desktop software, and one user account. You can expand your package as desired with the following optional features:

HiDrive Office

Open and edit all common Office documents (texts, presentations and spreadsheets) directly on your HiDrive. You can edit a document with multiple users simultaneously.

Device Backup

Protect the data on your mobile devices, such as photos, videos, music, appointments and contacts. Is your phone broken or stolen? Then you can easily recover your data, independent of the operating system.

Moving service

With this you can easily migrate all your files from your current cloud storage to STRATO. The moving service is available for Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.

Additional users

Create additional user account in your package. Each user gets a private folder. In addition, there are common folders. For these folders, the administrator can flexibly set which users have read and/or write permissions.

End-to-end encryption

Encrypt your data on HiDrive with a unique key that only you know. Even STRATO employees do not have access in this way. Files can only be viewed with the key.

FYI: Even without end-to-end encryption, files are sent by default SSL-encrypted to HiDrive and stored on our servers with AES-128 encryption. In addition, you can also secure your login with two-factor authentication with a standard package.

Access protocols
