Dying Light 2: release date revealed and new trailer
Dying Light 2 Stay Human Now has a release date: December 7, 2021. The open world zombie game will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
Techland, the studio behind Dying Light 2 Stay Human, made the announcement tonight during an online date. This sequel will send players to the City, described by Techland as “The last bastion of humanity” in the fight against the virus that turned the people of Harran into zombie creatures in Dying Light first of the name. The day-night cycle and parkour-inspired travel of the original game will return in the new episode. Players will take control of a new protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, who joins a group of survivors known as the Nighttrunners.
For the occasion, Techland offers a new trailer for the game. It lasts almost eight minutes and allows you to see gameplay.
As a reminder, Techland had announced Dying Light 2 Stay Human for the first time at E3 in 2018. The studio unveiled the gameplay a year later. The game should have been released in Spring 2020 originally, before being pushed back without a new release date. Now we know it will be December 7, 2021.
Before release, players will be able to find a new pack including the first Dying Light and all of its downloadable content, called Dying Light Platinum Edition. This version is available on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
