Lawsuit for excessive commission

Under the name App Stores Claims, this Dutch foundation wants to start a lawsuit against the two tech companies Apple and Google. The reason is that, according to the foundation, the commissions that Apple and Google charge for their app stores are unreasonably high. In both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store this is 30 percent. According to the foundation, consumers pay too much when purchasing apps and in-app purchases. App Store Claims wants money that has been overpaid to go back to the consumer.

In order to arrange this, a court decision is required, which finds in the foundation’s favour. The foundation must also declare admissible. They call on you to join this collective action, to give it extra power in a lawsuit. People who are interested can register via the foundation’s own website.
