Done with Apple? There is now a Switch to Android app for your iPhone

Tired of your iPhone and it’s time for something different? Google recently quietly released a Switch to Android app for iOS, which you can easily access the dark side brings.

Switch to Android app prevents (a bit) headache when you switch

We can’t imagine it, but who knows, one day you’ll just be completely done with your iPhone. Sometimes it’s just time for something new! There is a good chance that you will then opt for an Android smartphone – because you do not have much more choice. Google and Apple recently made the switch a little easier. A while ago, a Switch to Android app appeared in the App Store.

With the Switch to Android app you can easily transfer your contacts, calendar appointments, photos and videos from an iPhone to an Android phone. This is fast and wireless, so you don’t need annoying cables and adapters. The app also offers useful tips that make the switch from iOS to Android a little easier. The two operating systems are quite different from each other, so any help is certainly welcome.

Still, there are a lot of things that remain on your iPhone. This includes all data within apps. Your notes – where you keep all your easy-to-crack passwords, we’ve got you covered – but also your achieved levels in games and Health data. Very annoying; especially if you’ve been using an iPhone for years.

Bye Apple Watch, AirDrop, Apple Pay and more

The biggest disadvantage of a switch to Android is the lack of all kinds of useful features and gadgets. For example, you cannot connect your Apple Watch to an Android smartphone. Do you still want to keep wearing a smartwatch? Then you will also have to switch here. You can still use your AirPods, but they will no longer connect automatically. The touch-sensitive buttons of your AirPods also no longer work and Siri will abandon you from now on.

Then there are handy features such as AirDrop, with which you can easily and wirelessly send photos, files and more from one Apple device to another Apple device. Do you regularly use Apple Pay? You will also have to miss that from now on. Chances are, many of your favorite apps aren’t available in the Play Store, and you can now count the pixels on your Snapchat photos. But hey, you do get a cool Android phone in return.

You can only download the Switch to Android app with a direct link. Searching the App Store for ‘Switch to Android’? Then you will find nothing. Fortunately, we are not the worst: you can find the link below.
