The drugstore chain dm has given the go-ahead for its new pick-up stations. In the coming months, around 700 branches are to be equipped with the stations. Customers order the desired products online and then pick up their goods.

dm starts with its own pick-up stations

Customers of the drugstore dm can now use the new pickup stations to use. After a successful pilot test with good response, the project has now officially started. Some branches, especially in Baden-Württemberg, are already equipped with pick-up stations. By the middle of next year there should be around 700 of the more than 2,000 dm stores (source: dm).

According to dm, the stations save time. Customers select the items they want online and pay for them directly. In the drugstore itself, you have to register accordingly no longer queue at the cash register.

The order can be made via the Online store or the app be triggered by dm. You will then receive a confirmation code via email, which will be scanned at the pick-up station. The appropriate door then opens and customers can remove their order.

How to save when shopping in the supermarket:

dm: “Express pickup” after three hours

When ordering, customers have a choice of one “express collection” or “delivery to your dm store”. The faster variant promises provision after three hours. If more than 51 products are ordered, the time increases to six hours.

For registered users of dm app the express version is free of charge, otherwise there are 2.95 euros per order. In any case, products are provided in a paper carrier bag.

Orders can only during normal opening hours be picked up, as the pick-up stations are located within the branches. If the station is full, the order will be waiting in the warehouse. In this case, customers must contact a member of staff.
