For example, if a WhatsApp message is quoted via the reply function, the quote remains. This also happens if the original message was deleted.
To reply to a message, you can either drag it to the right. Then the quote will appear directly above your input window. You can also long-press the message and then click Reply.
Messages in the chat that have been quoted in this way will continue to be displayed as a quote even after they have been deleted.
Retrieve messages with an iOS or Android backup
Users can also restore deleted WhatsApp messages from an iOS or Android backup. However, you must have saved the messages in the backup before deleting them.
