Disable Adblocker in Safari, Firefox & Chrome

With an adblocker you can deactivate advertising on websites. As a rule, however, the free web offers are funded by precisely those advertisements. For this reason, you should deactivate the ad blocker on your favorite online offers.

Certain pages cannot be called up at all or block certain functions if an ad blocker is activated. You can switch off the ad blocker for each website individually. This works either for the respective visit or permanently for certain websites.

Disable adblocker for individual pages

Depending on the browser you use, the way you can turn off the adblocker is slightly different. You can turn off advertising on a single page particularly quickly by clicking with the right mouse button in the browser window. In the context menu you select the entry for the ad blocker, in order to then pause the tool on this page.

As a rule, you can also access the function via the browser’s menu bar in the add-on overview. If you cannot do without the ad blocker, you can switch it off for individual pages. This is how it works, for example, if you use an adblocker like “AdBlock”. Chrome uses:

  1. Press that puzzle icon in the upper right corner next to the address bar in the browser.
  2. Here you will find all installed browser extensions, including the adblocker.
  3. Type on the entry on the three points to the right.

  4. A new menu will open. Here you select the option “Pause on this page“. The ad blocker is deactivated on the entire website.
  5. Alternatively, you can select “Pause on all pages” to switch off the adblocker completely.
Tip: If this is too cumbersome for you or you don’t want to keep changing the setting, just open your browser in incognito mode. No extensions are loaded in the private window, so the adblocker is not even activated here. So you can briefly look at individual pages without an ad blocker and then continue surfing in the normal browser window.

Disable Adblocker in Firefox

In the Firefox browser, the blocking of advertisements can be switched off in a similar way. Press here on the three lines in the top right corner and then call up the “Add-ons” area. Here you will find the options for the “Extensions”. You can switch off the extension via the Adblock entry. In order for the settings to take effect, the browser must be restarted once.

Turn off ad blocking in Safari

If you use the Safari browser, proceed as follows:

  1. On the top left next to the address bar you will find the button for the ad blocker.
  2. Once selected, you can turn off the tool in the general settings or set it up so that it just doesn’t run on the current page. To turn off ad blocking for the current page only, select “Do not run on this page“.
  3. Alternatively, you can press the Safari menu in the top left and call up the settings.
  4. Here you look for the entry for Adblock to disable the tool.
