Current figures speak for themselves

While things couldn’t do better for companies like Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi, Huawei has a big problem. The current business figures paint a bad picture and there are no signs that this will change anytime soon. It could get even worse.

Huawei sales collapse significantly

Even if Huawei tries everything to find its way back to its old strength, all attempts have failed so far. HarmonyOS is very successful, at least in China, but you hardly make any money with it. Reuters now reports that the company’s revenue down a whopping 38 percent in the third quarter of 2021 are. Huawei is still making a profit, but the smartphone business continues to plummet.

Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said some time ago that the strategy for smartphones had been changed. You want to pay more attention to profitability in order to make more profit. However, since sales continue to decline, this has only a minor impact, if at all. Ultimately, Huawei is getting weaker from quarter to quarter. Smartphones like the new Nova 9 don’t help because there are no Google services and apps. And HarmonyOS won’t change that in Germany, if it comes at some point.

Huawei is trying to make them more independent of smartphones and is therefore increasingly relying on other products such as notebooks, smartwatches, tablets, headphones, monitors and Co. But there is also incredibly strong competition, so that Huawei is only slowly gaining a foothold. The US ban has cornered Huawei and the effects are becoming more apparent.

Huawei does not get any FCC licenses

Meanwhile, things are getting even worse for Huawei in the US. The Chinese company was banned from FCC licenses together with ZTE. This basically makes it impossible to obtain approval there for a device that requires FCC approval. Anyone who thought that the situation would relax under the new President Joe Biden, now gets served exactly the opposite.
