Are you looking for a smartphone that should not be charged to the charger every night (or even earlier)? There are enough devices that last longer thanks to their large batteries. Android Planet puts its favorite smartphones in a row with a long battery life.
Smartphones with long battery life: our favorites
The supply of smartphones grows with a long breath, and we are very happy with that. For years, telephone manufacturers made their devices better in many ways, except the battery life. And that while the solution is simple: stop a larger battery in the smartphone. That is finally happening.
Below we will randomly discuss six smartphones in three categories (budget, midrange and high-end) with batteries of at least 4000 mAh.
1. Xiaomi Pocophone F1
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is the champion price / performance ratio. The smartphone features a lightning fast Snapdragon 845 processor with at least 6GB of memory and 64GB of storage space. Add a good double camera, fast face protection and the promise of at least two big Android updates and you have a high-end smartphone for the price of a midranger.
Thanks to the hefty 4000 mAh battery and the relatively economical 6.2 inch full-HD screen, the Pocophone F1 effortlessly lasts a long day. In his review Wouter wrote: “During my test period I did not manage to empty the phone in one day and it usually only had to be on the charger after a day and a half.” It is nice that the battery charges quickly (Quick Charge 3.0) via the modern usb-c connection.

The Mate 20 Pro can be secured with advanced facial recognition and also has a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
To top it off, Huawei has equipped the phone with a large 4200 mAh battery. This guarantees one and a half days of use, or longer if you use the appliance less intensively. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro charges wirelessly or wired via a USB cable. With the included Huawei charger that goes very fast: within thirty minutes the battery goes from 0 to 70 percent.
3. Samsung Galaxy Note 9
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with its 6.4 inch screen is one of the biggest smartphones of the year. 4. Motorola Moto G6 Play
Do you want a smartphone with a big battery and a small price? Take a look at the Motorola Moto G6 Play . This device costs around 150 euros and has good specifications. The 5.7 inch screen looks sharp enough because of the HD resolution, the working memory is remarkably spacious with 3GB and there is even a fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the Moto G6 Play has a 12 megapixel camera, 16GB expandable storage space and – not entirely unimportant – it looks more luxurious than the price suggests.
What makes the Moto G6 Play really stand out is its enormous 4000 mAh battery. Thomas wrote in his review that he often had 40 to 50 percent battery left at the end of the day. Also nice is that the battery quickly recharges with the included TurboCharge charger. It pumps the battery up to almost 50 percent full within thirty minutes.

Take the Mi A2 Lite an affordable smartphone with a large full-HD screen and a double camera on the back.
The Mi A2 Lite has at least 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage and runs stock-Android. This is the standard Android version without Xiaomi modifications. In addition, you are assured of two years of fast and regular security updates and two major Android updates.
As if that was not enough, there is also a hefty 4000 mAh battery in the phone. This allows you to use the Mi A2 Lite without problems for one and a half days. If you do it more slowly than two days is certainly possible. Charging is unfortunately not so fast and via an old micro-usb port, but that are cuts that we can live with.
