Cult series will be continued in September

Finally there’s really great content on Netflix again, because a cult series of the last few years will be continued on time in September – season 5 of “Cobra Kai” is starting. Definitely worth seeing – in the end, we’re not the only ones who think so.

Cobra Kai on Netflix: Taking the Karate Kid a step further

Netflix has a lot going on, but also a lot of crap. But there are also real pearls, like “Cobra Kai”. Don’t you know? Something from karate kid heard, the cult film of the eighties? Most certainly. Cobra Kai picks up where the film series left off. Featuring many original actors, Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence and their young karate students take center stage. Only Pat Morita alias Mr. Miyagi is missing – the well-known actor unfortunately died in 2005. Nevertheless, the most famous karate teacher in the world can be seen in flashbacks from the films, partly also in previously unreleased material from the editing room.

The series quotes the original beautifully, but doesn’t drift off into pure nostalgia. In this way, the new stories are interwoven with the past, but develop their own character. Honestly, the Cobra Kai series is even better than all of the original movie sequels. Find the IMDb, because there’s a total of 8.5 out of 10 points for the showpiece. Even clearer: Rotten Tomatoes – 93 percent approval from professional critics and 92 percent from viewers – a practically perfect result.

Season 5 starts on September 9, 2022

Originally, the first two seasons of Cobra Kai ran on YouTube’s premium service, but since Season 3 Netflix has secured the rights and is now setting the tone. The last season came out at the end of last yearSeason 5 will fortunately start on Friday, September 9, 2022 (Watch Cobra Kai on Netflix). Nothing stands in the way of a wonderful karate weekend.
