With this innovation, WhatsApp should finally put an end to typos. At least that’s true as long as you notice them fast enough. Because in future you will be able to edit your WhatsApp messages for 15 minutes after they have been sent.

To do this, tap and hold the corresponding message. Now the menu opens that you already know from the reply or forward function.

In the future, you will find the “Edit” item here. If you click on this button, you can customize your message as you wish within the given time window.

How do I recognize an edited message?

Similar to Twitter, you cannot secretly edit your messages. Because WhatsApp will also show changed messages with the addition “edited” afterwards.

This is how recipients of a message should be informed about the correction. However, there should be no information about the course of changes.
