Complete “A Helping Hand” (Iki Island)

“A helping hand” is one of the side quests on the island of Iki in the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. In it you are supposed to help a citizen to build a new house because his old one was destroyed by the Mongols. We will guide you through the entire mission and show you all the locations of the citizen on Iki.

Start “A helping hand” (Iki Island)

This side quest is not marked on the map and you have to find it yourself. To do this, go to the northeast of Iki. Exactly north at Tatsu’s stairs you will meet an NPC who is crouching between felled trees.

Talk to the citizen and he will tell you that his house was burned down by Mongols and that he now wants to build a new house. However, he lacks building materials, so give him 3 units of wood during the course of the conversation so that the quest can continue.

Thereupon the construction site of the new house will be marked for you further northwest and due south in the forest of the cunning hunter. Once there, you can find a scroll with more information. In order to complete “A helping hand”, however, you have to meet the citizen again at other locations on Iki in the further course of the game and give him more building materials.

Citizen location # 1 (give 6 skins)

One more time you can be the citizen in the meadow directly on the west coast of Nagata Lake in the southwest of Iki. Talk to him and give him over the course 6x skinsto continue to support him in building his house.

Get going to the beach on the north coast west of the Yahata lighthouse. Here the citizen searches for metals at the shipwreck. Help him out one last time and give him 10x metals.

Complete “A helping hand”

Now go back to the quest marker of “A helping hand” south in the forest of the cunning hunter. There you will meet the citizen one last time, where he proudly presents you his new house, which he was able to build with your help.

After the conversation, this story of Tsuhima ends and you get as reward the talisman of the iron hilt. This never makes you tremble or force you to fire a shot when aiming with the bow.
