AR/VR headset: Apple wants to secure the Reality One, Reality Pro and Reality Processor brands

Apple’s virtual and augmented reality headset doesn’t seem far off now, with the manufacturer making three trademark filings for Reality One, Reality Pro and Reality Processor using shell companies, as discovered Bloomberg.

As we can see, Apple is really looking to bet on the Reality brand for everything related to its mixed reality headset. This also joins the name of the operating system of the helmet, namely realityOS. Also, in 2019 Apple unveiled RealityKit, a framework to help create augmented reality experiences.

Reality Processor is quite obvious, it refers to the name of the processor. It will in fact be the M2 chip (the same one found in the MacBook Air of 2022) with 16 GB of RAM. What about Reality One and Reality Pro? Are these the product names? In this case, will we be entitled to several ranges as is the case with the iPhone, iPad and MacBook? Many questions, but no answers yet.

Nothing is done yet and Apple has not obtained the marks yet. The group has only applied in several regions, including the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and others.

Based on rumors and other leaks, Apple will announce its unisex headphones in January 2023. Will we be entitled to a teaser during the September 7 keynote? Hard to say for now. This conference will already include several products, including the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Pro.
