Samsung has the Galaxy Fold and Flip models, Motorola has revived the Razr with the foldable smartphones. We are now seeing the Motorola Razr 2022, and it will also be released outside of China.

Evan Blass has made a comeback. The leaker has distributed images of the new device, where we can see it from different sides. The design is similar to that of the previously released Razr, but we clearly see a number of improvements. Like the previous model and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 from Samsung, the model opens like an old ‘clamshell’.

According to Evan Blass, the arrival of the Razr to countries outside of China is imminent. It is almost certain that the smartphone will also be released in Europe. At the Edge 30 announcement in Milan early this month, which was also attended by DroidApp, we were assured that we’ll be hearing more about Motorola’s new foldable smartphone ‘soon’. So now we see a first picture of it.

Not only do we see a clear render of the new smartphone; also several photos that will probably be used on the international Motorola website. We expect the device to have a renewed OLED screen with an improved hinge, a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Furthermore, instead of a notch, there is a punch-hole for the selfie camera and the camera on the back will also be improved. This refers to a 50-megapixel main lens with optical image stabilization and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens. Where previous Razr models had a less high-end chipset, we expect a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with the Motorola Razr 2022.
