With a Payback card, you collect points on purchases that you can exchange for prizes. In addition to numerous online shops, many local shops are also Payback partners. What about Aldi? Can you collect Payback points at Aldi?

If you want to collect points for your weekly purchases in a supermarket, you can go to Rewe or Penny, among others. Aldi does not participate in the payback program. But that might change soon.

Is Payback coming to Aldi?

Both Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd are currently available no loyalty program for customers. Unlike Lidl, for example, there is no app in which exclusive coupons can be activated as soon as a certain purchase value per month has been reached. Other supermarket chains such as Edeka (Deutschlandcard) or Kaufland (Kaufland Card) also have their own bonus programs through which customer data can be collected and bonuses distributed.

In early 2023, it was announced that Rewe and Payback would soon go their separate ways. From January 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to collect points at Rewe supermarkets. Penny branches are also affected by the withdrawal. To fill the gap, Payback is looking for new collaborations. Aldi could come into play here. Accordingly, both Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd could introduce the payback program after Rewe-Aus. It’s still a matter but rumours. It is therefore not certain whether and from when you will be able to collect points at Aldi with the Payback card.
